The Toyota Avensis is a family car produced by the Japanese car manufacturer Toyota. There are different versions available including a liftback, saloon and a hatchback. The Avensis was first introduced in 1997 and went on to become a large success especially in Europe. The Toyota Avensis is known for its advanced technology and good fuel economy.
Due to this success the Avensis is currently in its third generation. The last and third generation was introduced at the Paris Motor Show in 2008. Apart from a selling success in Europe the car is also built in the EU, in Derbyshire in the UK even. Over the years it has become a competitor to car models including the Ford Mondeo, Volkswagen Passat or the Vauxhall Insignia.
